Maldives Open For Indian Tourists!

Yes- Good news! Maldives is now going to open it's borders for all South Asian countries including Indian Tourists.

The date of re-open is July 15th, 2021 and Maldives will be open for Indian tourists.

The President of Maldives Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Solih declared the news in a bid to revive the tourism industry- the mainstay of Maldives government.

However it is subject to review at periodical intervals due to the threat of Covid-19 across the Asian region.

Maldives was one of the last holiday destinations to close it borders during the second wave of the Pandemic.

And it is one of the first destinations which is scheduled to be open as well.

Bollywood glitterati made a splash at the beaches of Maldives when the Pandemic was at it's peak in India and received flak too.

Pre-requisite: A negative RT-PCR test issued not before 72 hours of departure from home country.......

Visa will be issued on arrival . Arrival tourist visa guidelines will be notified very soon.
There are no charges for Visa for arrival in Maldives. However the charges for extension of visa is INR 3045/-.
To and fro tickets from Maldives is a must as usual.

Your passport should be valid at least for six months later from the date of visit.
Tourist visas have a validity of 30 days from the date of your visit.
You must have a confirmed Hotel reservation as proof to produce at the Immigration counter.
